kerry sanders is live in mexico city. kerry, what are investigators saying today? >> well, officially, the authorities say 33 people have died, but they do indeed expect the death toll will rise. the market is one where all of this concentration of fireworks led to the disaster. it was all in one area about the size of four football fields. it was just so much, they estimate maybe 20 tons of fireworks all compact in there. when it went off, there was a chain reaction. to give you an idea of how there have been other sorts of similar disasters in the state, or in mexico, we decided to look back at the statistics and realized that, well, it was only in 1988, where there was a similar explosion, this one here in mexico city. 62 people died in that. then in 1999, 61 people died. in 2002 in varacruz, 28 died, and then in tultepec, which is where this happened, only in 2005, 100-plus injured, and a year later, again, an explosion. i spoke to a woman there who was there and her brother died in that explosion in 2005. and then her mother lost her arms, and yet she says the
