you couldn't meyer the artistic work of the sculpture better, and you can just see it a lot better than you could when it was 30 feet high. then there are displays, video displays, and plaques that you can read that tell you when the statue was put there, why, what it meant, who jefferson davis was. really a much better job of presenting the history, and i think people say if you take out the statue, you are destroying history or the racing history. i do to erase history. my business, what i do is try to teach people history. we want to keep the history but let's put in a museum where it is accessible. as we know the history, we had more wisdom to be able to deal with events of today. the civil war was a very difficult episode in our history, and the more we study it the more we have the wisdom, the understanding to build deal with the difficult episode that have no. i like to tell my students and then kind of i guess a some kind of famous around campus for using football analogies to illustrate my points but i like to tell my students that stuff, for us to study history is like the football team
