joining us, a well known columnist in for the miami "herald" and the host of cnn ens pan oriole. what do you make of the reaction? zbl( well, a reaction between bewilderment bemusement and outrage. people can't understand how somebody like trump can say something like that when mexicans who follow this much more closely than most americans know that the number of mexicans crossing the border illegally to the u.s. has been dropping dramatically over the last couple of years. so people are sort of wonder inging is what is this guy saying. the other thing, the implication that mexicans are flooding the u.s. is being questioned because, in fact about 50% of mexicans who come to the u.s. come by plane and land in new york and washington and los angeles and don't cross the border sneaking at night as some of these things show.

now everybody reads the "miami herald." the courts are reading this. somebody is innocent but it is really dangerous years after the fact to get a new trial for somebody, for some legal flaw like maybe his lawyer didn't work hard enough or maybe some witness was unreliable. >> in fact, gwen gurley, who recanted her original testimony against jim duckett now claims she was coerced into recanting by an investigator work for the duckett family. >> he was at my house. if i was hanging up clothes he was behind the clothesline. he was always around. he never let my life at peace. so i told him what he wanted to hear to leave me alone. what he told me happened, i said okay, it happened. the only reason i even agreed to do this interview was just on record to let it be known that the last time i saw teresa mcabee, she was in james duckett's police car. that's the last time i saw that little girl. the next time i heard about her, she was dead. >> earlier in his investigation, marshall frank was urged to meet with detectives from a sheriff's office in a neighbor

the miami herald itself has started compiling its own list of cancer cases who have been diagnosed who the site. the specific part of base over the past seven years. the herald said they know of nine people, working age healthy people them say they know of nine people who have been diagnosed of congressman, lymphoma, crank, and three people have died from cancer just in the last 13 months. he died this past friday. the defense lawyer, his funeral will be tomorrow. in january it was army come robert kottel. he earn a bronze star. he had worked at the military commissions at guantanamo. he died of cancer in january. he was 52. in june of last year, it was marine major joshua kirk. major kirk had been valedictorian of his high school class. he got a law degree at uva and then he worked at guantanamo. he died last year of cancer at the ripe old age of 35. 35 years old. and 44 years old. and 52 years old. and all these other serious illness and cancer diagnoses among these relatively young, healthy, age people. all of whom worked at the military commission site at guantanamo. what's going o
