health care system. over my shoulder you see jackson memorial. jackson health is the largest health care provider in miami. they are running short right now in icu beds. i talk to the president of the medical staff here. he tells me they have to shuffle things around just to get those beds. there's a shortage of staffing coming up. if things continue on this trend line. very concerning. all of that as we're seeing videos now of long lines of people going to get tested for covid-19. this is from the miami beach convention center. blocks upon blocks of cars wrapped there for more than a mile waiting to get tested. only 400 tests per day. florida is testing more than it was previously. over the weekend, somewhere between 55,000 and 70,000 tests a day and ayman, frontline workers right now are really concerned about what a potential holiday bump over the july 4th weekend could mean. here's dr. nicholas. >> i anticipate after this weekend's parties we're going to see a bump in the next, you know, week to ten days, two weeks, i would anticipate that, yes. south florida is different. i want to give credit to our
