they were reaching out to michael flynn, to his legal team. according to this document was intended to help -- essentially affect what kind of cooperation mi michael flynn was providing to the special counsel. according to the special counsel, some of the information they did not have until michael flynn provided it to them and that includes a voicemail from what appears to be a member of the trump legal team essentially talking a little bit about manufacture michael flynn's cooperation. this is new information that could again shed new light on exactly what was going on behind the scenes, as part of the special counsel's investigation into potential obstruction. and it underscores, wolf, why members of congress on capitol hill really want to hear from robert mueller, from people who were involved in the investigation. they want to know a little bit more about what went into the calculations of not making a decision on charging the president with obstruction. >> there's a lot to unpack right now. susan hennessy, what stands out to you? you've

lanny davis, michael cohen's attorney said michael cohen has more information to tell about the president. what more work can they do with michael cohen at this point? >> right. so theoretically, yasmin, they might need him for something else. they might stumble across another scheme or might remember something that's helpful to them. you framed it correctly. by and large, they're done with him. there's a rule in the federal rules of criminal procedure that would permit prosecutors within a year of michael cohen's sentencing to go back to the court and ask for a reduction. seems unlikely here. >> also we know mueller referred 14 potential crimes for investigation, chuck. what's next for federal prosecutors here? >> yeah. an important point. in the adeppendix to the report mueller laid out 14 cases ongoing. 12 of which redacted. we don't know what those cases are, but we can, i think, safely assume that many of them are in the southern district of new york, and will touch on things that michael cohen might know about. the trump foundation, inaugural committee and maybe members of the trump

michael: doubtful.here's been a tremendous amount of skepticism about inflation over the last few weeks, months. if you look at 10-year breakevens in the u.s., we think they are too low. why should inflation be this low? if you think tariffs are bad, don't you think they are inflationary? you will probably see breaks take up. we are skeptical about the real yield argument. krishna: i wouldn't say tariffs get us to an inflationary level. on a short-term basis, yes. longer-term, that is all about slowing growth. slowing growth leads to disinflation rather than inflation. i think that is the critical point. the difference between real yield in the u.s. and europe, i think, to some extent is warranted. our real growth is meaningfully higher than what the real growth is in europe. the likelihood it gets to zero, somehow i cannot square that circle. >> i will echo what everyone else said but take it from the bottom-up perspective. when you look at what companies are reporting, we are not seeing a lot of infla

so maybe they should just invite michael flynn. maybe, you know, he'll be very cooperative with the congress, also. but if he doesn't come on his own volition, then they should subpoena him. because, obviously, he has a lot of information that is relevant to what the house has to look at. and sadly, none of that, apparently, the going to happen in the senate. >> flynn is, by the way, awaiting sentencing as we speak. what, specifically, senator, would you ask flynn if he did appear before your committee? >> a lot more about what could be deemed an obstruction of justice effort by the president and his team. and yes, there might be legal issues involved. attorney/client privilege and all of that, but there's nothing like hearing from the source. and that means michael flynn. in addition, we're still waiting to have mueller come and testify. and there are, you know, barr should testify, especially after the press conference that he gave recently, where he seemed to be just enjoying himself immensely, being the president's personal law

michael flynn's decision to cooperate. and he said as much to the special counsel's team when they interviewed him. john dowd, the former personal lawyer for the president, just released a statement in response to this, basically saying that the department of justice and that the special counsel's office here is just trying to ruin his reputation. and what he says in statement is that this is clearly a baseless political document designed to smear and damage the reputation of counsel and incident people. most importantly, now, in all of this, is that we now have the name of who it was that was communicating with michael flynn about this. they didn't mention his name in the documents, in the report, in the special counsel's report, but now, because of this judge ordering the department of justice to release the name, we now have who this person was. and that is significant, of course. and also, it now becomes part of the public record. it's now in a court document and the way this was viewed by michael flynn's attorneys. >>
