michael berry from the insurance informatio institute is going to join us now.t talk about this. we have ignored the fat that most folks drive instead of fly to their destination. what is your advice for them as they head out tonight, maybe in the dark or ad weather? >> these are the good old days for people who don't know where they are going to need to find a good route to go. there's google maps, weather underground, you ca also look at the weather channel, they have an interstate planner. gerri: lots of places to consult. you can also do a lot with google maps. you can find out which roads are passable and which are not so passable, in the green and in the red. traffic, weather, whatever the hangup is, if you're king a long road trip and are on the east coast, you really have to do some research before walking out the door. >> most definitely. your weather is right along interstate 95 going from flida to maine. aaa estimating 39 drivers out on the road, so you have these 39 million drivers. and what are the big causes of fatal accidents and the two top ones

michael, if you were clocking him in relation to the time he was putting in the collection. part of the issue he had to go to the new berry syracuse university, and several other sites around the country to track down chapters that no longer were based here. he had to do a great deal of work to find out where things were and pull them together. there's a line in bryan's introduction that refers to a conversation with michael about might l saying to bryan that at least half a dozen scholars had been invited to take on the project of pulling this together. i don't know -- and i don't want to presume that i was one of those six, but i know that michael gets several points in the course of my research say well, you know, in addition to getting this or that little tidbit out of this collection, there's a lot of stuff there. and it would be very, very useful, very, very fascinating for someone to take this up and organize it as a volume. you know, maybe that would make -- i'm looking at my friend bennett johnson. part of a new silent six in relation to chicago not being able to go forward and conserve its legacy. whether i am o
