i've had a chance -- i covered the original russia investigation, the mueller investigation, the michael cohen on television or amongst journalists privately where we felt it was truly awful and there were cracks and signs. i get this may be different and it may be truly a movement against the president. at the end of the day trump still lost the election and had a strangle hold so great on the republican party that they weren't able to do a bipartisan commission to investigate january 6th even after republicans said they should do that. so, you know, with trump and these investigations, i think we always look at them and we're astounded by the disclosures. he asked his personal lawyer to call the department of homeland security to seize voting machines as a bunch of outside advisers who had very unusual views of power were trying to keep him in office in a coup. that is an incredible fact and really brings trump into it in a new way. but, you know, it is hard not to, as someone who has covered a lot of different versions of this story, just wonder where will it truly go because it just seems

notwithstanding everything he said on twitter and elsewhere, michael cohen is pretty much an unusabled be subject to such withering cross examination that his credibility would be so undermined. so we don't know of any potential witness against donald trump. so -- and that makes this case very difficult. that all being said, there is something rotten when the two lead prosecutors, both of whom are extremely experienced, seasoned prosecutors and lawyers, publicly resign, reportedly because of disagreements with the d.a. and to me, the only conclusion i can reach without knowing any more and we don't know what the evidence is, but to me it wreaks of kerry dunn and mike pomerantz thinking there is a case here and then deciding that there is not. i can't figure out why else they would resign in this public of a way, if they agree there wasn't a case, they wouldn't need to resign, and if they were all in agreement that they should be charged and they wouldn't resign, so the clearly there is serious disagreement and a public resignation by prosecutors is a very, very unusual event. >> and y
