it's friday morning, february >>> i'm michael gargiulo. we want to get to chris cimino o who is tracking the storm as everybody is getting to work and school. >> this is smack-dab in the middle of a commute in the week. the big difference is we won't see anything like the snow totals from the blizzard. a messy morning out there. messy, wet and slushy. the snow is filling in. the back edge around new jersey. lighter conditions anticipated. the snow is picking up in intensity across long island. especially that's where the heavier accumulations will be. winter weather advisories in effect until noon. southwest connecticut, a good chunk of new jersey. a winter storm warning until 3:00. the reason there, the snow lasts longer. a slush hi 1 to 3. in the city on the cusp of rount in queens, nassau county, 3 to 5 slushy inches. out east, more across suffolk county with 5 to 8 inches or more. some areas around the westhampton area, the lower end of south fork, there could be in excess of 8 inches. we'll keep an eye on that as it evolves. the day p
