i'm michael george.l, after a brief reprieve southern california faces two days of dangerous winds that officials fear could expand current fires and even spark new ones, like this one that erupted last night in ventura county, fuelled by the strong winds. right now no homes or buildings are threatened by that fire, but the national weather service issued an only nis pds warning. that means particularly dangerous situation, because santa ana winds are expected to bring gusts as high as 70 miles per hour. to prepare planes doused homes and hillsides with bright pink fire retardant chemicals while crews and fire engines were placed near vulnerable spots with dry brush. cbs's charlie de mar is on the ground at the site of the palisades fire. charlie, where you are have the winds started to pick up? >> reporter: michael, good morning. the winds still relatively calm here in the pacific palisades, by that pds, that particularly dangerous situation you mentioned, it doesn't go into effect until 4:00 a.m. local
