michael harpster joins us now to discuss operation: cross country. g us.ou for joinin tell us about this three-day sweep. guest: good morning, thank you for having me on. ,his is the seventh iteration in spite of the initiative we started in 2003. it is the largest to date. as new papers and everybody has put out there, we recovered 105 were, 150 pimps arrested. clearly a success. success is not something you want to have, you would like to have lower numbers. that i think it is a statement of what the problem is out there. host: why did the fbi picked these three days to conduct this sweep. were there specific incidents that made the fbi move on these three days? it seems like this operation has taken place once a year, often in the summers. guest: without giving too much detail on why we do it and when, one can guess that the summer months would be the months more people are outside. there's is more chance of running across children. there are fewer tracks in the summertime. other than that. , specificallythat why we headed on this weekend is just timing
