kelly and others was a family affair. that included not only his mom but certainly his wife, cindy, and all of his kids. >> i'd like, michael, you to share some of your thoughts here, as you look at the luminaries, frankly, the political big names coming in. joe lieberman we spotted in the back of the room. this is a who's who in the world of washington and around country. >> it is. particularly cool to see joe lieberman there. you go back to mccain's relationship with him. a lot of members on the other side of the aisle, which was really definitional for a lot of folks in washington. i guess you could say, given where we are today, part of the bygone era, you know. members actually talked to each other. they liked each other. to jeff's point, they knew each other's families and spent time together. mccain was really a reflection of that in so many ways. that sense of washington, that piece of washington, is increasingly being lost ws paite passing of a ted kennedy and a john mccain. you see, as each generation begins to step off the stage, there's not a generation, in my view right now, as i look at the senate especially,

kelly. for someone who values loyalty above all else, this week had to have been rough for the current president of the united states. joining us now to discuss, michaelantonio, author of the truth about trump. michael, cohen and pecker and now weisselberg. how do you think this is hitting the president? >> well, he has to feel absolutely besieged right now. what is remarkable is that the keepers of the secrets, if you think of mr. pecker and mr. weisselberg and mr. cohen as being the closest confidants to businessman donald trump and now president trump could have had, they are all cooperating. and it makes one wonder if one of the trump children will become a cooperator soon. it is almost hard to believe that these three are helping prosecutors in various injuries dick s -- jurisdictions, but they are. this has to be the worst week the president has faced since taking office. >> what do you think is going on behind the scenes with the trump children with this family, how might they all be reacting to it? >> i think that they are probably all trying to figure out what may be in mr. weisselberg's records to reveal and what michael cohen may have to te

kelly got her approved and forgot about it. >> look, the bottom line is the guy doesn't tell the truth on a regular basis. remember what he told people about not knowing michaelu know, made arrangements with, you know, these women and so on. you know, and then it turns out that he was deep in negotiations. he just -- he doesn't feel the need to tell the truth. and therein lies the big problem. because everything in a white house or any organization flows from the top. and if you have a president who doesn't believe in rules, laws, norms or telling it truth, that gives license to everybody else to misbehave. and we've seen that in the last 24 to 48 hours. >> david, i want to ask you this because i think it deserves a longer response, right? as i said it's a mess. the white house has denied in the past that they even made sign nondisclosure agreements or ndas, but now trump is claiming on twitter she did sign and kellyanne conway claiming it's perfectly normal. >> it is typical and you know it to sign an nda in anyplace of work. >> you sign them in the west wing? you sign a nondisclosure? >> we have confidentiality agreements in the west wing, absolutely we do.
