mark: michael kors is making a push into menswear.announced a partnership with the formula one racing team. of a strategy to of over customers outside customers who buy women's handbags. >> michael kors is going deeper into the menswear business. we have always been in the business, but we have made a statement that this will be a great extension for growth. mclaren has a great history in formula one and one of the greatest histories winning championships. when the style and innovation of the design that comes out of mclaren is something we think is a fit with our company. they had the new cars which are just spot on absolutely glamorous and very sexy and something that our guy wants to be associated with. do you want to sustain the market and get the top prices. can you give us an idea of that arm of the strategy is working right now? >> certainly. ourissue with reducing department stores and united states is one that the environment and all of north america is one that has been challenged. the mall traffic is slowing down. resorting

you got a name like michael kors. a top sizzler month to date in june, a 19% gain. a stock remember, on the retail side of things that hit a 52-week lowerli lly earlier thi year. gap stores have seen the old navy line can't seem to get comparable store sales ramped up. those shares up 7% albeit again off of lows we've seen just recently. nordstrom, under armor, kohl's, you get the drift here. a lot of retail names are sources of perhaps, i would say possible opportunities for upside as traders try to bet what could be a bottom but picking bottoms is the hard part. still, it's intriguing retail names are getting spotlight especially as we approach the back to school season that does impact some of these guys and some of the other guys like kohl's where spending really ramps up going to the fall. it will be interesting to see what happens, guys? >> the big question is does this mark a turn around this anyway or a dead bounce because i bet a lot of guys on the desk think dead cat bounce. >> right. i would say that. i'm very curious to hear what the guys say about this.

there is a look at michael kors stock up nearly 7% after earnings yesterday on our program michael jeffriesded the stock and said to do this ahead of earnings. >> there is a much bigger growth story ahead. we think the stock valuation very attractive. we will be buying the stock here. >> she was right. the stock is up big on four times normal volume. the net sales were up 11%. retail is up 22%. it was $1.2 billion in total sales. only 576 million that was retail. >> i think the stock was down something like 16 or 19% month to date going into the number. just to put some perspective on this nice gain today. it has a lot of room to go. is it back? >> year to date, it wasn't down -- like you say, i was down from the highs from the recent highs when it was up there sordz 60. and now bouncing at the 40 level and looking like it's back. yeah, i'd say based on these numbers, the e-commerce numbers even with the amazon putting pressure on them this one is doing well. >> let's spend the last minute of the program talking about biotech, steve. the ibb was up 4.5% in may. >> yeah. >> best month since
