. >> with me now is the man you saw being harassed in that car, michael miller. thank you for being here. i've got a preview monitor right over here and i could see you shaking your head as you were watching that video. what are you thinking as you watch that back? >> every time i watch that, i'm terrified. in the moment i knew it was bad. i called my wife as soon as i got out of there. i called a friend on the way home. i drove the most convoluted way home possible after that. i had no idea how bad it was until i saw it and someone shared it with me the next day. >> the meeting was about 3 hours in williamson county, the school board meeting. i watched it. it was raucous inside the room. it was nothing like that. how did it escalate? >> well, the tensions were definitely high before the meeting. i do want to compliment. i lined up there at 2:30. i was the fourth person in line. there were 30 speaker spots, each with one minute. so we wanted to get there early. we were peaceful. one handed me a bottle of water prior to the meeting. we were fairly civil. i bumped

joining us now, michael farr from farr miller and lins lin pp piegza. >> we're seeing early signs of that looking at this morning's report, the headline increase was starting, as expected. it will likely remain at mult multi-decade highs through the end of the year. if we look at the underlying momentum, particularly in the core, up .3%, this is the weakest or slowest monthly increase we've seen since the first quarter. it does suggest at least we're seeing early indications of that second derivative decline, slower pace of positive increase something we've seen broad based for several months now is the fact that a lot of these price pressures are really concentrated in some of these areas that have been hard hit by the virus and subsequent policy. as the economy recalibrates, as we work through these supply chain disruptions, this is where the fed says we will start to see those price pressures abate. as you pointed out we are starting to see that, at least in some categories. >> michael farr, it might be an easier call. for the stock market, either way they have some support but fo

michael burry? >> yes, it is always fascinating. it is a bit of insight. very secretive. some of their investments around this time. stanley drunken miller like what he is doing is hedging his bets on the pandemic recovery, so a couple of names that you will hear that you might recognize, he bought into marriott international and boosted holdings in expedia, starbucks. clearly, a very clear theme of jump on what he expects to be recovery from lockdown. but then, interestingly, he did exit a very large stake he took in citigroup, some may be hedging his bets a little bit to make sure it is not all stuck on the u.s. economy. that is the main one that jumped out to me. mark: good morning. apart from those filings, from the other filings, what is the broader theme that really stands out? >> i think it is definitely, a, the pandemic recovery, and, b, a few winners. you keep the same names coming up again and again, stuff like amazon.com, and also quite focused on u.s. stocks. that is perhaps not surprising when you look at u.s. investors, but we did get a look into blue pool capital, which manages some of the fortunes of alibaba's founders. t
