heritage action ceo, michael needham is with us now. meeting, i think you met face-to-face with the president yesterday, is that correct, michael? >> yep. we were over at the white house yesterday. stuart: was he amenable to any of your demands? i know you are not happy with the ryan package. you have your own. was he amenable to any changes you want to make? >> i think showed openness to ving a conversation about thinking about new i. there will be need to be big changes in this bill. this bill keeps the fundamental infrastructure of obamacare in place. it keeps the idea that the government from washington, d.c. should have regulations that increase the cost of health care. it keeps the relationship between employment and tax, health insurance in place and it also provides huge subsidies. it is big changes that need to happen in order to make this bill acceptable and the president was very open to new ideas. stuart: but would you need all of the changes you laid out, do you you need absolutely all of them before conservatives can possi

julie pace, she covers the white house for the associated press, and michael needham, head of the conservativeel, you say there's no significant difference between obamacare and the repeal and replace plan. if you are one of the readers of outside groups who met with president trump at the white house this week. did you tell him that? >> we had a great meeting. i thought that the president was open to feedback. i think that what gary cohn said earlier about them looking for improvements was absolutely the case. we were productive. the problem was that the president bringing the open spirit has not bought without binary choice either take it or leave it approach. if the problem that this bill keeps the architecture of obamacare in place. if obamacare has a whole series of regulations to drive up the cost of buying health insurance. many of those regulations stay in place. the key people in buying health insurance, obamacare has an individual mandate, which penalize people for not buying it. this bill gets rid of the individual mandate and replaces it with to try to have continuous coverage. bec
