deputy chief michael patterson says the hard work of san jose fire paid off as they worked in difficult terrain and the air drops certainly worked to keep this fire from spreading. they did their best to keep the fire out of alan rock park. it managed to encroach into the park. we heard this from an update an hour ago. >> the fire extended into alan rock park. we did evacuated and the surrounding neighborhoods. we lifted the evacuations and allowed crews to come back in place. the power is still out. the presidents have been allowed back in and all of the residents that were evacuated out of the area, they're all allowed to reoccupy their structures. ctures. >> reporter: and back here live, about 11 homes were evacuated in alan rock park. the city also opened up the community center. but the good news is, as you heard, some residents will be coming back home. if you're coming back to a home like this, you will be out of luck and talking to your insurance agencies. crews will be here monitoring for hot spots and watching out for secondary fires. right now it is all about containment as c
