i'm michael thomas. send it back to you live in san francisco. >> in the north bay, an investigation ds underway after a body was discovered at a campground in bodega bay. the sonoma county sheriff says tuesday morning the u.s. coast guard call them about a possible dead body schedule. skeletal remains had washed up at bodega dues, campground. it's unclear where they came from or how long they were there. the identity of the body has not yet been revealed. police in san jose arrested a man they say was operating a residential brothel. 44 year-olds and way was taken into custody last week after months long investigation into this brothel. police say it was located on south 24th street near east santa clara street in the bonita park neighborhood of san jose. residents and recovered about $10,000 worth of cash. police say when was arrested and booked into the santa clara county main jail for pimping and pandering. again, stop san leandro is boarded up after thieves rammed a car straight into a check this ou

. >> kron four's michael thomas live at sfo with the latest there. michael, this is definitely good news that the ground stop has been lifted, but i'm sure a lot of travelers were really feeling that over the past few moments. >> i good morning, everyone. really crisis averted to say the least especially christmas eve, right. this is also expected to be an extremely busy travel holiday this year. right now, we know is that it was technical difficulties. but american airlines now saying it's all been resolved and people are getting where they need to go. you can see this is the line right here for american airlines. this all happened earlier this morning at about 4.30, to 5 o'clock. our time and essentially american airlines reached out to the faa and said, hey, we're having technical difficulties right now with the vendor and we need to stop a planes from taking off the ground nationwide. again, the only thing we know is that it was technical technical issues, issues that were impacting the systems and they weren't allowed to release any of the flight

and michael thomas is standing by with the latest on this. hi, michael. good morning, everyone. >> that's right. so it starts today goes through new year's day. officials are essen>ially saying it's going to be out in full force. and again, the national drive sober or get pulled over campaign. so last december, more than 1000 people were killed in alcohol related crashes across the country. and the santa rosa police department say they are committed to keeping our roads safe. they urge drivers to plan ahead whether that meaning having a designated sober driver or using a rideshare service. want you to plan for that. they also want to remind the community that driving impaired doesn't just mean with alcohol that involves prescription cannabis and over the counter medications. those can all play a factor. santa rosa pd once a community to remember and paired driving is not only dangerous, but it's also illegal. so for a safer holiday season, make sure you drive sober. and of course, if you need to get that uber or that lifts, should always order sorry. all

michael thomas joining us live now in studio with a closer look at michael. >> good morning, everyone. gonna jump right into some video right now. so essentially the beginning of the year, we're going to have a handful of different laws going into effect. that includes both with medical debt on your credit report. it also includes people hanging out in the streets and drinking alcohol. so as we know earlier this year in san francisco, entertainment zones were put into place in san drink alcohol on the streets t- and sidewalks during certain days and times that was actually just a pilot program for officials with the state to essentially allow it across the entire state. it did so well. now local governments across california can participate. then when it comes to new labor laws, employees will be entitled to take time off, work to help family members. that has been a victim violence. and that includes also allowing employees to be able to use their sick time to cover that absence. employers will no longer be allowed to require workers to use vacation time before taking paid family lea
