back-and-forth earlier this week with prime minister trudeau getting interviewed and the president speaking shortly thereafter about dairy products. michaelu.s. has may be more of a point in this case. has strong dairy subsidies and we do as well but the canadian subsidies in dairy products average about 270%. it's the tariffs they put on two key product out. there is one category that has no tariffs and that's what they call ultra filtered milk products when you separate the milk into different components, you end up with butterfat and nondairy solids. that process was invented after nafta came into place. the use these nondairy solids as an ingredient in cheese in canada and the gets a lot of use and the u.s. developed the technology and has developed a whole industry and ships it to canada because there are no tariffs on it. now the canadians want to put tariffs on it. the u.s. has an issue there with what the canadians are doing. the canadians look at that chart and they say look at the price of milk which has gone down for many years before this became an issue because the u.s. has its own subsidies and they produce too much milk. th
