schaaf plans to join the former mayor of stockton, michael tubbs, to lead the roundtable. families pilot program , which ended in june, began under schaaf's leadership. it was launched as part of an effort led by tubbs, who established the nation's first citywide guaranteed income program when he was mayor of stockton. tomorrow's roundtable will be held at the grand lake theater. it is part of a national tour featuring the film. it's basic daca mentary about recipients of guaranteed income pilots. former oakland police chief van kirkpatrick has been tapped to lead the new orleans police force in 2017. kirkpatrick was sworn in as oakland's first female police chief. she served for three years before being fired by an independent commission. a federal jury later determined that kirkpatrick was wrongly terminated after she filed a whistleblower claim against the city. today, new orleans mayor said her decision to choose kirkpatrick as her city's next police chief came following an extensive nationwide search. the nomination is subject to the approval of the city council. firs
