michelle let's start with you. explain simply for us what the ecb announced today and whether it is a sign of a breakdown or just a different phase of negotiation. >> it's a sign of more pressure i think. central banking operations can be pretty tough to explain and to understand but they're really crucial to the banking system. they're the reason we can get cash out of atms for example. what the ecb did today was they made it much harder for greek banks to get cash from the ecb. normally the ecb will only give cash to banks in countries that are investment grade rating. greece is not investment grade rating. it's junk rated, but greece had a special waiver from the european central bank because greece was in the bailout program. they were meeting with their partners, the imf et cetera. as long as they did that the ecb said, okay, we'll keep giving you this cash. they decided the new government doesn't want to stick with the program. the greek banks can get cash but they have to go to the national bank of greece th

michelle, thanks. early this morning in southern california near oxnard, a commuter train hit a truck that was stuck at a crossing and abandoned. no one was killed but 28 of the 51 people on the train were taken to the hospital, and four of them, including the engineer, are now in critical condition. omar villafranca is at the scene. >> reporter: the explosion and flames lit up the sky after the metrolink train struck the truck just before dawn. by daylight, you could see three of the five of the 7.5-ton rail cars toppled over like toys. the truck drierveg a 54 man from arizona, got stuck on the traction and jumped out when he saw the train coming. he was found walking about two miles away from the crash. was the driver under the influence of anything, according to your officers? >> he appeared to be very unsettled, and so the extent or the cause of that is actually yet to be determined. >> reporter: officials here say today's crash would have been much worse if not for new rail cars designed and purch

michelle obama's done a great job to try to encourage people to eat fruits and vegetables.eate a different incentive to get people to eat fruits and vegetables? we know fruits and vegetables are typically more expensive than processed foods. so how do you get people who are trying to eat better but don't have the money to do that, how can we get them to afford fruits can and vegetables or create an incentive to do that? that has to go to policy. if you look at subsidies, 24, 25 billion dollars worth of subsidies, 85% of that goes to commodity crops. 15% goes to meat and dairy. 1% goes to specialty crops or what we know as fruits and vegetables. so there has to be an underlying and a corresponding policy change to actually make those more affordable. >> so you have to affect both the supply and demand. you have to make people want them and also make it reasonable that they can try to get them. >> people want them. i think michelle obama's doing a great job to get more people to want them and understand the importance of why fruits and vegetables, whole grains are important.
