(pam) but first, ali reid joins us live with more on what could be causing these steel beams to crack. ali? fremont street and the transbay terminal may remain closed for at least another week.inspections last night revealed a second beam with a crack.pkgthe transbay joint powers authority is now investigating a crack in a second beam ... adjacent to the one found tuesday.we're very disappointed with what happened, we will get to the bottom of thisthat's 2 cracks found in a building recently completed. the construction team believes this is an isolated incident that will not affect the entire terminal. at this point in time we don't know what the cause of the crack is. we know the building is safethe transbay center is separated into 3 different buildings ... west, center, and east. the beams in question are on fremont street on the east side, east building fire proofing was applied in june 2016. at the time, the group says there were no signs of strain or cracking during final inspection. the question is ... at what point could this have happened?it's hard to discern r
