back again with me are michelle goldberg and maya wylie.ou look at the fracture through the lens of jim oppmann. can you talk about that more to the folks have not read the news? >> sure, jamal bowman is a member of the, quote unquote, the squad. this alliance of progressive, young democrats, all people of color, and he want an upset victory against super pro israel representative elliott angle in 2020, coming at it with the energy of george floyd protests behind him. he's in a district that is about half black and latino but also has a lot of jewish voters, and jewish voters make up a significant part of the democratic primary electorate. bowman has been pretty consistent need to the left on israel and palestine, more so when he took a trip to the region and saw the occupation up close. and there is just this rift in the district between him, he's like extremely sincere, does not pander, and he's taken these positions that are anathema to some of the people that supported him the last two elections. >> and a right compassionately about bot
