i'm michelle griego. >> and i'm melissa caen. kenny is off this morning. a fast growing wildfire has shut down a stretch of interstate 5. jackie ward joins us now with more on the delta fire in shasta county. another fire. >> reporter: another one. this is just the latest wildfire that we have been talking about in northern california. it is 0% contained. the delta fire was reported yesterday afternoon and has already burned 5,000 acres in shasta county north of lakehead, about 8 square miles of land. this is a fast-moving fire because of the ideal conditions flames need to grow and spread quickly. it's in a part of the state with timber and thick brush. several small mountain towns have had be evacuated. so far there are no large towns being threatened. however, the city of dunsmuir is under an evacuation warning so be ready to go at any time. amtrak's coast starlight service is stopped between sacramento and klamath falls, oregon. 45 miles of i-5 are closed in both directions from 10 miles north of redding to about 4 miles south of the city of shasta cou
