i'm michelle griego. >> and i'm kenny choi. it is 6:00 right now.we take a live look at panama city beach, florida, this morning, the weather is perfect but you can see all the damage. the power lines leaning over, trees toppled. flooding is a huge concern in the carolinas and florida. tropical storm michael is now blamed for two deaths an 11- year-old girl in georgia died when a tree fell on her home and in florida residents are trying to determine the extent of the damage as we take a look at the utter devastation in panama city, florida area. winds of up to 155 miles per hour reduced buildings to rubble, flipped cars and snapped trees completely in half. and this video posted on social media showing the strength of the storm as it rips that roof right off a building in panama city beach. >> michael is the worst storm that the florida panhandle has ever seen. one of the worst power storms to ever make landfall in the united states. >> taking

i'm michelle griego. >> good morning. i'm kenny choi. we continue to follow breaking news right now. a bay area freeway is shut down right now and two people are dead after a crash involving a tour bus. as we take a live look at the union city hayward border where it happened, a lot of traffic right there. let get right to jackie ward with more. >> reporter: the good news in this terrible situation the media is moved off northbound 880 where we were standing 20 minutes ago. i'm now at the industrial parkway whipple road intersection in hayward because we are supposed to be just minutes away from chp re- opening the lanes northbound 880 after chp investigators completed their recreation of the accident. it happened last night at 10:40 with four vehicles. a tour bus driving in the middle lane approached stop- and-go traffic and crashed into the vehicle in front of it and pushed it to the left into another lane. the tour bus then continued to hit another vehicle and pushed that car into the back of a semi trouble. the two people who died we

good afternoon i am michelle griego. >> i am trying 12. the first "'breaking news" out of oaklan the site of a gas leak. it appears that construction crews were doing some of the situation and bring you the latest as it develops. >>> the construction accident that happened around 9:00 a.m. off durham road near 680. let's get right over to kpix 5 kid doe who is live with this developing story. on construction company , they have shut down the job site for the day. just before 9:00 a.m. two construction workers were climbing the 20-foot tower made of steel and rebar. they are required to wear safety harnesses, so they were clipped in in case they slip and fall. as they were nearing the top, the workers could sense the tower was about to topple over but they cannot unbuckle in time. so they fell down with the tower. one of the workers was injured likely crushed by the structure and is now in the hospital in critical condition. the other worker how to moderate injuries and a third man had minor scratches. the construction company tells me each
