good afternoon i'm michelle griego. >> i'm kenny choi. police arrested an as z man for that cold case homicide. police opened a missing person's case back in disease of 1990 when 30-year-old jack upton didn't show up for work for several days. officers later found him dead at his apartment. upton's car was stolen from the complex, found late anywhere ban doned in a mall parking lot in southern california. blood from the car matched blood from the apartment. fast forward to april of 2018, new dna technology was unveiled. fremont police reached out to the same lab used than case, and new testing lead them to this man 52-year-old russell guerro living in tempe, arizona. police found a dna sample to match that up from the upton murder, arrested on tuesday and now fremont police are working with the almeda county share's office on his police s 20--o was at okduring deal. arrested in the killing and later identified as a member of the manner boys gang. he was 15 at the time. and under a new law that went into effect this month, senate bill 1391
