. >> let's get a check now of our weather and how we're starting off the workweek here's michelle grossman great to see you, michelle >> so good to see you. and we are talking about heat all week long. we're seeing extreme temperatures in the south once again. a huge area of high pressure, sort of like a heat pump pumping in that heat from the south and the moisture from the ocean. it's going to feel worse than what it is warm this morning, and as we go throughout the day, we'll see temperatures right around 100 degrees in houston going to feel like 109, 102 in charleston and in orlando, 94. now with that heat, also the trigger of a cold front. we're looking at the potential for severe, even strong storms in the central and northern plains and into the upper midwest. damaging winds, could see winds over 60 miles per hour hail up to an inch, and the risk for a few tornadoes. looking good in the northeast.a. the story in new england will be showers and thunderstorms. that wasn't too bad in the mid-atlantic all right. that july heat is in full force. we'll talk about that expanding to the eas
