time now for the weather and let's go to michelle grossman for the forecast.'s it looking out there? >> they are there, jonathan. it's soggy and stormy in spots. we're looking at some storms and also dangerous heat in the south. so starting with this stormy weather, radar showing us we're looking at showers in the north east, the midatlantic. also looking at storms then parts of the plains and a chance for severe storms later on this afternoon into the evening hours. those record highs continuing to the south. temperatures 10 to 20 degrees above normal for this time of year. feeling like 120 in spots. so we do have heat alerts stretching from the southwest to the south central plains and southeast. now we've added a heat watch this begins thursday in tennessee, kentucky, alabama. so 34 million americans will be dealing with dangerous heat as we go throughout the day, and temperatures soaring into the triple digits. this is week after week after week, so thonthen we're looking at 100 degrees on tuesday and feeling more like 107. unbelievable numbers out there.
