effort to take over the senate, the democrats there now, the democratic candidate there running, michelle nunn has now hired the exact same ad folks to make basically exactly the same type of ad that was judged to be the single-most effective weapon against a mitt romney david perdue-style candidate in the 2012 election. the same group that raided some of anti-mitt romney ads as the single-most effective ad in the election cycle say this ad running against david perdue is the single-most effective ad running in georgia. joining us, one of the strategists who used this attack against mitt romney not from the left, but from the right in 2012. rick tyler was senior adviser to the superpac that supported newt gingrich at the time and used this line of attack to such great effect. >> rachel, thanks for having me. >> i'm trying to put myself in the mindset of a david perdue campaign. there are parallels between the type of business career he's had and mitt romney. is this kind of argument against them kryptonite for this type of business candidate? you guys certainly felt it was effective for you in

do think they have a shot in kentucky and particularly in georgia where there's a poll that has michelle nunn ahead. that's why i said the republican narrative. problem for democrats i think in the senate and for belich in alaska and all of these key states where it's very close is that they have all voted for the president down the line when it mattered, obamacare, his appointments, the nuclear option in the senate, everything they have done has been when they have been told to do. the republicans haven't made that argument because they really want their people to do the same, but the president's numbers, and look at this chaos, i think we have more concern in this country right now with isis, with the border, the way the president has handled the stuff and his apparent, you know, wanting to look like he's not with it. last week's performance was frightening i think to many voters. >> we shall see, patrick. always a pleasure, sir, in charleston, south carolina, friendliest city in america, we're told. >> it is. >> at for good reason. pat, thank you. >>> how do you get young people revved up
