michelle howard is 4 feet 10 inches tall, african-american, she comes from a pretty challenging background, goes to the naval academy, rises up through the ranks. anybody see the movie captain phillips about the takedown of the somali pirates. michelle howard is in command of that mission, goes on to become the first 4-star african-american woman in navy history and she is a good person, a person of immense character. what she overcame in bias is pretty inspirational. that is real resilience. admiral bill mcrae for an, 6 foot 2, eyes are blue, everything is perfect in my life, not so much. right before 9/11 he has a parachuting accident, breaks his back, 9/11 happens, he's in the hospital watching the other seals deploy. he comes back from that, works with me at deep blue as a captain and then goes on to a storied career but what you may or may not know about him, he has been fighting leukemia for ten years. he is an incredibly resilient person. regardless of how you think of anything politically, these are two people who have demonstrated extraordinary resilience. michelle howard, very hard for anybody to understand frankly, african-american woman coming through the navy, tiny litt
