michelle roberts is at that station. what do we know? >> reporter: officials are not releasing many details about the patient, only saying he or she is doing very well tonight. now they're worried they may have been exposed. bart officials estimate as many as 1,500 passengers may have been exposed to the measles on friday. >> it's a scary thought. >> this is a person with an active measles case. they used them to get to the civic center in san francisco. he or she road the train around 4:30 last evening. this is the fourth confirmed measles case in san mateo county since december. there have been 127 cases statewide beginning with dozens of cases linked to disney land. however, health officials say there's no evidence connecting this new case to the happiest place on earth. their worry largely surrounds people who choose to get vaccinated. they're going to spread and people who you know who are not vaccinated are going to get it. >> health officials are trying to track down everyone who may have come in contact with the measles patients.

michelle roberts joins us live in gilroy. there's some more information on what's being called troubling transactions that has police looking for these two women. >> reporter: that's right. that happened in san jose. but here on bay street drive in gilroy, a quiet street, quiet neighborhood. early sunday morning police were called here at 3:00 a.m. there were reports of loud noises and dog barks. when they arrived they found the body of robert heiser inside his home. police believe he was killed by blunt force trauma. today police identified two people of interest. take a look at this surveillance video. what you're seeing are two women using heiser's credit card days after his death. they're wanted for questioning. >> preliminarily it does not appear to be random. we don't know why mr. heiser would have been targeted specifically targeted. >> reporter: both women are described as hispanic, about 18 to 25 years old with dark hair. if you recognize them you're asked to contact the gilroy police department immediately. report l

nbc's michelle roberts has more. >> reporter: yes, police have not identified the woman yet but say sheight now they're just trying to piece together what happened and what led up to this hit-and-run crash. milipitas boulevard was blocked off for the morning commute. police were called there early this morning. a garbage truck and a cadillac crashed into each other. when police arrived the truck driver was there but the other woman involved left the scene. >> the officers who responded were able to follow a trail of bristow the area behind me here. >> reporter: with severe damage and only three wheels the driver of the cadillac made it about a half a mile away from the scene of the crash. >> when they showed up there was a small fire in the trunk area of the vehicle which the officers were able to distinguish. >> reporter: the police said the woman was found dead next to the car, and it appeared she suffered wounds next to the crash. investigators believe she was driving but at this point they don't know if she was alone or if she was under the influence. the truck driver has not been c

reporting live tonight in willow glen, michelle robert nbc bay area news. >> thank you michelle. >>> a notable statistic in santa clara county as officials work to end domestic violence. today officials say the county saw just two deadly cases of domestic violence last year. its lowest rate the region has seen in 20 years. in total, officers and deputies responded to more than 3800 domestic violence incidents in 2014. they also say that domestic violence goes unreported, especially among undocumented immigrants. >>> four san francisco cops off the hook. no charges will be filed against the officers who shot and killed a man. district attorney george gascon made that announcement today. this stems from last march. the officers killed 28-year-old alex nieto in bernal heights neighborhood. he says the officers acted in self-defense shooting nieto. turns out he was pointing a stun gun. the officers were 90 feet away and couldn't tell if the gun was real. >>> oakland police shot a man after they say he refused to put down a knife. this unfolded at 88th and g street this morning. police ha
