( cheers and applause ) michelle, i am so thrown by this thing. is trump going to keep any of his promises? >> well, look, trevor, i've always known that trump promises are like his neck skin-- they're all over the place. but the one thing that we can be sure of-- this is not going to be a good four years for women. >> under what's called the heartbeat bill, abortion in addition ohio could be banned after a fetal heartbeat is detected. that can happen as soon as six weeks. >> what the ohio lawmakers have done is they've said, we are emboldened by the election of donald trump because he is antiabortion. >> in ohio, republican governor john kasich has vetoed what would have been the country's strictest time-based abortion law, the so-called heartbeat bill. >> six weeks? many women don't even know they're pregnant by six weeks. we can't make a choice before we know there's something to choose. they're turning pregnancy into some kind of troll bridge riddle. wolf. >> michelle kosinski reporting from the white house. thank you. let's get more on this. democratic senator diane feinstein joins us, the voice chair of the senate intelligence x committee. thank you for joining us. do you believe that vladimir putin personally directed the u.s. election hacks? >> well, let me put it this way. we have had a number of briefings. they go back to the midsummer. they involve the leadership of the intelligence committees. i have been on the committee for 15 years. i have been chair for six. rank vice-chair for two. i have never seen a more specific top-level briefing with statements of high confidence when questions were asked. it's clear to me that this is a very serious situation. and i don't want to see the relationship with russia get worse. let me predicate it with this. i deeply believe that the president, soonest time possible, must get out the report that can go before the american people, and the american people can read the unvarnished facts. those of us on the intelligence committee are limited in what we can say. what i can say is

wolf? >> michelle, thank you. let's get some more on all of this with our correspondents and our analysts. the president made it clear that essentially that putin was directly responsible. he says at the highest levels of the russian government, they would never get involved in something like this. officials in the russian government would not go rogue. putin would have to authorize it. what are you hearing about that? >> that's right, wolf. there is very little doubt inside the intelligence community and with the fbi that this was directed by vladamir putin, especially the part that -- the disinformation campaign part. they have the stealing of the information, but then what to do with the stolen e-mails, which is what made this so different, wolf. there is no doubt that that was something that would have had to be ordered by the leader of the russian government by vladamir putin. and it's also clear that the cia has developed recent information, wolf, in the last few weeks, in the last few months, that indicates

wolf? >> michelle kosinski at the white house very much. >>> the cia chief saying u.s. intelligence agencies are in agreement about russia hacking. let's bring in jim sciutto. what more, jim, are you learning? >> reporter: i've spoken to multiple officials who have seen the letter that the cia director sent with the intention of dispelling any reports including as well charges from many gop lawmakers that there's some disagreement between the intelligence community and law enforcement as to what actually happened with these hacks and why they were undertaken. we saw this letter today going to the entire cia workforce come from john brennan saying the following, that the director brennan met recently with the fbi director comey and there is "strong consensus among us on the scope, nature and intent of russian interference in our presidential election." you're aware of reports and aware of the president-elect himself questioning one if russia's behind the hacks and were they trying to help steer the election to donald trump? in fact i'm told by multiple officials there is

wolf. >> michelle kosinski is in the briefing room waiting for the president.e're waiting for the president right now. stand by. one other issue the president will almost certainly face, the crisis in syria. evacuations from aleppo suspended, thousands of lives are hanging in the balance right now. that's the situation in aleppo where people desperate to escape a five-year-old civil war are told the buses sent to rescue them have stopped. fred pleitgen the is joining us now. fred, you told me a second round of buses have started shipping people off. now we're getting conflicting reports about the evacuation, what happened between then and now? >> well, wolf, there were several convoys that made it through, we're hearing about six or seven or possibly even eight convoys with about a thousand people each that made it out of eastern aleppo through government-held territory and then into other rebel-held areas. so about 8,000 to 9,000 people were evacuated. many of them very sick, many wounded, many of them children on the brink of dying but at some point one of th

michelle what else have we learned about this major development? >> reporter: hi, wolf. obviously the white house wants to take a bigger and broader look at this issue than the ffb before the election. the information out now is limited, but we expect to hear from the white house any minute now during the daily briefing and can ask for questions. what they describe this as, a full review. what does that mean? you know, going beyond what the fbi did, again, before the election. when they released a statement through the intelligence community and through the department of homeland security saying that they believe that the russian government was behind those hacks. including the dnc and the clinton campaign, and they believe that russia was trying to influence the election. so this review could encompass a broader period of time through basically now. it's expected to be turned around pretty quickly and on the president's desk before the inauguration of donald trump. and listen to what we've been hearing from some members of congress. i mean, some of them have already had

warning in this, wolf, to the trump administration, saying you have to be careful about how you handle these intricate complexities. otherwise, you make the problems worse. >> michellesinski, traveling with the president in tampa, florida. thank you. let's get insight from our political and national security experts. phil mudd, starting with you. what stood out to you in the president's approximately 45-minute speech? >> wolf, quite simply tone and temperament. step away from all the details and go back eight years. we have a new president talking about change who says i am going to shut down guantanamo and pull out of places like iraq. reality is a brutal teacher. guantanamo closure was opposed by congress. it's still not closed, obviously. isis was the reality that taught the president you cannot pull out that quickly. we have a president-elect now who says i might reince tut wat reince t reince water boarding. i think when he transitions from the campaign trail to the oval office that he's going to face the same problems with the bureaucracy and international reality that president obama did. the message from the president is simple. say whatever you want on the
