i remember when i was at michigan state, i was working the laboratory and i was being paid about halfhe minimum wage because at that time the job that i had wasn't covered. i got to work in the laboratory. i was being paid to train. it was a great deal for me but halfway through my college years the legal department at michigan state said that the minimum wages are now going to start applying to the job i held so i was fired. the only way i could get back into the lab to train us to pay tuition for an independent study course so now i have to pay to train. i have to pay university money to get back in the lab. also the minimum-wage stunts employees from giving to disable the chance. i remember when i was rehabbing lower income housing in kalamazoo we have material all over everywhere so of course some were doing rehab. a gentleman approached me and said you know i live just a block down the street and i live in this home for the mentally disabled. obviously he was not to disable because we were able to have a pretty good conversation but he was a little slow. he said he and i can clea
