michigan, wisconsin, arizona. pennsylvania.uld like to spend more money in florida but they don't have the money to spend. it is stunning given the fact that the president spent the last four years raising money for himself, not for senate republicans or house republicans as other presidents have but for his own reelection. now they're stuck and they have a map that seems to be growing narrower and narrower. they got to put their money where they think their best shot is. >> david gergen, how do you see their money trouble? >> donald trump pledged he would put in up to $100 million. it goes to the rnc. he owes a dangle. and it disappears magically. >> he certainly has a track record of that, with the charitable giving and other ways. the president certainly has been raising money since he started, as gloria said, does it make sense that his campaign should be trailing the bind campaign? they raised a lot of money. is it just squandered? ? >> unclear where a lot of that money went. i think there will be a lot of reporting after

iowa, north carolina, georgia, florida, and then monday north carolina, pennsylvania again, michigan, wisconsinnd we don't have the biden schedule as of yet. but it seems like pennsylvania, michigan, and shoring up georgia is on the mind of the trump campaign. >> absolutely. it looked, a lot of people make fun of the president's rallies, but i think they are very important when the president lands in a town, it's a big deal with air force one and it's one of the keys. i agree with leslie it's going to be a close election. it's why i look at some of the poll like about wisconsin than i think i joe biden up 17 points. i think that's absurd. it's not going to be that. it's a surprise showing where really big numbers, i think the surprise will be donald trump. i agree with leslie mentioning the old seniors -- seniors and young people. but one of the differences is the seniors have soured on president trump a little bit over covid, they're nervous about it. a lot of the young people, i'm hearing from pollsters there's a surge and a lot of them are more for trump because they do not want the economy

first of all, when you look at arizona, michigan, wisconsin, florida, pennsylvania and you ask voters do a betterjob of getting us out of our economic mess post—covid, in all six of those states, joe biden actually leads donald trump. and so a lot of this new territory around the economy is changing because americans understand we will not get the economy back on track if we don't get covid under control. the other reality is that we have been dealing with a tax system in america, under this administration, where the very wealthy and the biggest corporations have been rewarded over and over and overand overagain, while we have a president who wants to cut social security and medicare. and so the biden campaign, which has set the mark at $400,000, can make enough revenue to make sure we are moving enough money into state and local governments — who have to balance their budget and are really struggling because of covid. we can move money into college affordability, into infrastructure bills. the reality is that that's a marker that we think the american people will accept, that we can

now the president made stops in michigan and wisconsin over on friday. that stop in michigan, though, was one of the second times he has been there since he's been out on the trail. he's really not been putting the focus on those states that he could afford to lose a couple of them. he can't afford to win all three of michigan, wisconsin and pennsylvania. we're seeing an increasing focus on pennsylvania. in that rust belt region is where the campaign is really focusing. pennsylvania, pennsylvania, pennsylvania. so that's one to keep an eye on. he still trails by around five points, but the campaign thinks they can close that gap and again eke out another victory there. >> jonathan, let's talk about the rhetoric the president is using on the trail. we heard more chants of "lock her up," not about hillary clinton but about governor gretchen whitmer of the state of michigan. again, he went on and on, "lock her up" over the weekend, and she responded on "meet the press." >> the president is at it again, and inspiring and incentivizing and inciting this kind o
