marine workers in middlesex county are monitoring a dolphin spotted in a local river. >> dolphin has been in the river for several days. tracee carrasco with more on why it ended up there in the first place. >> reporter: they spent hours huddled on this bridge, cell phones in hand, hoping to a glimpse of the dolphin who has made this area home. >> if you watch he or she comes up and it's really pretty. >> i have never seen one up close unless you count wide sea world. >> reporter: they believe it's lost. the organization brought in to care for the dolphin believes it came here to eat. >> more than likely it followed the bait fish. >> reporter: the dolphin is getting comfortable despite being stuck in the 10-foot to 12-foot bait water. >> a lot of the fish are also confined to the area, and he's basically in a dolphin restaurant. >> reporter: the dolphin is not in any distress, and they are hoping it will swim out on its own before they have to take action. tracee carrasco, cbs 2 news. >> what a sight! >> let's hope he gets back out into the open water with his friends, not that there
