lester. >> miguel almaguer in las vegas tonight. thank you.re learning of another plot to attack concert venues in other crowded areas such as times square here in new york city. federal prosecutors say three men were arrested for the isis-inspired plan that was broken up thanks in part to an undercover fbi agent. nbc justice correspondent pete williams is following that. pete, good evening. >> reporter: lester, prosecutors say that the discovery of this plot inspired by isis was kept secret until tonight because the fbi wanted to find out if others were involved. court documents say three men from canada, pakistan and the philippines planned to set off bombs in times square and shoot at people attending concerts around the city. they talked about the 2015 attacks in france at the bataclan theater and said, "we just walk in with guns in our hands, that's how the paris guys did it." they also talked about setting off bombs in the crowded new york subway and identified which lines they would focus on. this plot was actually broken up in may of 2

nbc's miguel almaguer is at the university center in las vegas. you have something new to share?reporter: good morning. this is where the critically injured were brought. about 400 people were wounded in this incident. at least 50 fatalities. of the 104 people brought here, four have died. 12 are suffering from critical injuries. many undergoing operations at the hour. they're asking for blood donations, not only this hospital, but at medical centers across the city. many of the victims have been seen by doctors but undergoing operations. we're told doctors from across the region were brought in here to umc, because it's the number one trauma center in this area. it's a fluid situation, as doctors continue to work on many of those with the critical injuries. >> you have to think of the first responders. tom mentioned this a while ago. if you're a paramedic or part of an ambulance crew and you get the call to rush this concert venue, and you get there, it took several minutes before they brought the shooter under control. and so, your job is to respond to people who have been hurt

let's start with miguel almaguer in las vegas. good morning. >> reporter: good morning. the crime scene adjacent to the mandalay bay behind me is still cordoned off by investigators still looking for evidence. they say the suspect spent decades acquiring his massive arsenal. they also want to speak to those who knew him best. >> it seems like it's coming from up there. oh, [ bleep ]. >> reporter: this morning, a new int perspective of the massacre in vegas. a cabdriver rushing victims to safety. >> oh, god, there is an active shooter. okay. >> reporter: this as investigators release a new t e timeline. 10:05 p.m., the first shots fired, the start of a ten-minute volley. 13 minutes later, a security officer approaches stephen paddock's sniper's nest. the killer firing more than 200 rounds at him through the door. 10:55, officers surround the room. 11:20 p.m., the gunman found dead. the security guard helped police clear guests from the hotel, even after being shot in the leg, is now being praised by law enforcement officials. >> his bravery was amazing because he remained
