mike tobin is near the scene and mike clarify one thing if you can. we have an image of a person being handcuffed and lead away by police. confirm that that has nothing to do with suspect one or two. can you confirm that? >> it may be strong to say it has nothing to do with the suspects, but what i did see in the neighborhoods there was somebody who was walking out on the streets and getting close to the police. the police were skidish and serious about getting them off the street. it could have been a third party uninvolved and at the wrong place and wrong time. police took him away. we will see how that hashes out. no indication in the press conference that there would be a third individual taken into custody. the one individual we know about as described by the police here and by what we saw was someone who was shot out here in watertown. with our own eyes we saw the ambulances racing off to the hospital and now the information we have is that individual died at et israel hospital. the second individual is suspect number two. the person we have see

stacy, i want to ask you about mike ullman here.re, december 2004 and october 2011, jcpenney shares were down about 17%. annual revenues were flat. is this the guy who will turn it around for this company? >> i think the question is, who is going to turn around the company? who wants to come in and take responsibility of turning around the company now all the damage is done. as much as the stock price was down during his tenure, i think he has experience with their core consumer. so con johnson had tried to change this company, then he said, i made a mistake. now he's trying to back to the core consumer. at the end of the day, who are they going to get immediately to come in and take this responsibility? >> so he's the lesser of evils. that's what it sounds like. he's the best that they can do given the departure of ron johnson. the question, though, for investors tonight, is, did you like the jcpenney of mike ullman preron johnson? because if you didn't, are you getting more of the same at this point? >> right. that's the question.

-- we don't have mike. mark, we are going to come back to you for a few minutes to talk more about what is going on here. if you are just joining us, there is a huge chase underway with a suspect on the run. one suspect is in custody. this started with a shooting on the campus of m.i.t., we are told that a campus police officer was shot and killed and that's what started all of this. and police have a huge presence there right now. officers both on the ground and in the air, trying to find this suspect, scanner traffic was reporting that the suspects were heavily armed. that's something we have not confirmed, something we were hearing earlier that they had explosives and dynamite. police are being very, very careful. let's go back to mark fuhrman. mark, you were talking about the fact in a situation like this, the suspect just has nothing to lose. of course, as an officer, you want to make sure that you stay safe, as well as -- you know, everyone around you. what is the biggest challenge for them right now?
