"in the bay's" thom jensen is live where the mayor pledged this had spring to improve the fire inspection practices. good morning, thom. >> reporter: laura and sam, good morning. this is very remarkable this bay area news group investigation of the nearly 900 properties that they looked at that were flagged for inspection since 2011 nearly 80% of those were never inspected. december's deadly ghostship fire, of course, brought attention to this problem after 36 people were killed. they exposed the problem of lack of fire inspections within the city. in the aftermath the mayor agreed to double the number of fire inspectors here from 6 to 12 to make sure all of the properties are up to code. the bay area news group discovered some commercial buildings across
