joining us now to talk about north korea is political analyst kirsten haglund ntia mike baker. both of you again. mike has got to begin with you. this north korea sophisticated enough to launch a massive cyberattack like this when the sun friday in a bid to begin continuing into yesterday? >> sure, absolutely. they've done it in the past. it's going to take longer to do a complete forensic scrub on this latest attack and say with specificity who is responsible in how the mechanics of that work. but what they are doing is standard practice in this forensic review, which is part of it is he's got to look for examples of previous attacks. just trying to correlate it to something you seen in the path and that may take you down the lake towards the perpetrators. in this case, we've seen some of the same indicators in previous attacks that were definitively tied to the north koreans, including as you mentioned the sony attack attack, which was a massive and quite sophisticated operation. nicole: kirstin come out to rescue. semantics bought 22 million attempted rights of more attacks

nicole: covert operations officer mike baker the president and intelligence. good morning, mike. no group has claimed responsibility for the attack just yet. do you think this is the work of a lone wolf? how do we look at this? >> well, there is one attacker. i worked with them. work with the metropolitan police. i've been advised a party identified the attacker. the authority identified individuals close to them information. nicole: do you have any information they told you about this attack? >> no, still an active investigation. they are in the process of looking up addresses and searching addresses. the thing is very fluid at the point being based on unfortunately the fact they've got a lot of experience, they are extremely professional, extremely good at this and are moving very quickly ever since this happened throughout the night to figure out exactly who was involved. the big question is we've got the one attacker, but who were the associates? i don't think this is a lone wolf in the sense we think about it. guess, it was one attacker. lauren: tell us about that appeared o

paul is with us, mike baker is here as well, david ross and paul to you first. you're so dialed in with all of your sources on this. we know there is the arrest of a 23-year-old. we know there is an apparent suicide bomber. neither of them have been identified. what are you learning? >> well, what we do know is that british investigators think they have identified the suicide bomber. they're working to confirm that information. but i was going to give them a big step up here in this investigation in terms of trying to figure out if this individual has other coconspirators out there. so if there is a terror network behind this atrocity, if there is that, it would be very concerning because other members of that network could move forward. there may be a bomb maker out there. so we have seen a number of terrorist attacks involved in the west since 9/11 where there has only been one individual involved who has made the bombs and then moved forward and carry out an attack. they will be doing a lot of forensics at the scene trying to figure out how sophisticated and
