another race we are following very closely, and that is colorado, where the incumbent republican mike coffmandemocrat, again, hillary clinton won this district by nine points. coffman ended up winning by double digits. but health care is playing a lot right if they if you go to the balance of power in the house, the current breakdown, 240-195, these are tossed up house seats. if, in the scenario where democrats win every district that hillary clinton won in 2016, plus every house district that she lost by eight points or less, take a look at this. democrats win the house of representatives, 241-194. in that same turnout scenario, again, winning every house district hillary clinton won, everyone that she lost by eight points or less, you go over to the senate, that same turnout gives you republicans 55-45, a net pickup of four. it could be a breakdown at the house and senate, health care is simply one of the issues affecting a lot of races. >> that is why i am here, to let them know that somebody cares. >> i'm excited about this race, excited about the job. >> bret: in florida senate race... r

so let's go to colorado six where democrat jason crow has a comfortable lead over mike coffman who ismbent. >> yeah. again, this is exactly what i was talking about. this is still a poll with -- it's incomplete at this point. there may be some more numbers that change a little bit, but it's consistent with what i think expectations are in this district. hillary clinton did very well here in 2016. if you have this idea potentially of two kavanaugh effects, this is where you would expect to see this helping democrats and energizing democrats. outside chicago, i said there's some examples there, as well. i think the issue here for democrats is when you start looking at districts that fit this profile, if the overall number they need to hit is 23, you can quickly get yourself past a dozen pick ups that that like they're right there. the question is what is on top of that. >> so let's find another district. here we are, the next one that the upshots reporting on. this one, new jersey 11th. the 11th congressional district is usually a reliably republican district. again, you have to ask you

i'm looking at districts like new jersey 11th and colorado's 6th district, mike coffman should be losing in colorado and jay weber should be losing in new jersey by a lot. instead these guys have been able to hang on because they have been focusing like you said a moment ago like issues on immigration and the economy f those guys can hold on i think that shows democrats are a little bit in trouble. connell: immigration, phil, than the economy? we done a number of stories, we had conversations, maybe i'm wrong, i felt like economy on republican side should come up more than it has? >> absolutely we've seen significant growth in wages and job sectors. what is interesting here, variety of both factors. both factors taken what we thought would be a blue tsunami a blue wave. they have measured it. my thought democrats probably retake the house by not a significant large majority. so it will be very interesting because i don't think either party will have a deciding majority after election day. connell: good stuff, phil. chris, marjorie, thanks for starting us off today. we appreciate it. we'l
