collins. >> you know, it is a sort of through line that is an interesting thing in this convention. because one of the unusual things about mike pence's conservative stance on policy, he's pretty hard-line conservative in lots of ways, and some measures of this last congress that he served in, out of 435 members of the house, he was 432 in terms of the most conservative. but one of his positions, he's against women in the military. he wrote a column that concluded "women in the military, bad idea." they shouldn't be in combat units. women and men shouldn't even do push-ups together. mike pence is very, very hardline on an issue in a way that almost isolates him from everybody else in the conservative movement that i know that has a mainstream position of power. so to have a full retired colonel, like that retired astronaut that we just saw speak, that's an awkward thing for mike pence night at the rnc. >> -- my dad told me, any dream you have, you can do, as long as you're willing to do the job it takes to get the work done. after you go to college. i can't wait. i want it now. ty decided i was gonna take my dad's advice, and
