mike emanuel is live on capitol hill, what are some of the targeted dates ahead? >> well, congress must get moving in order to make this, the tax package will be unveiled on it next wednesday, november 1st, then the goal is to work on its the week of november 6th and voting novembe. there is a little cushion time in there, so the house will hopefully be done with this by thanks giving, that gives the senate sometime to work after that, with the goal of putting this package on president trump's desk by the end of the year. one issue they are looking at is trying to give folks more incentive to save for retiremen retirement. >> we wanted to increase the amounts that you can give to your 401(k) or ira, 44o1 kays up to $20,000 or more, most families in these plans, they are only saving $200 a month, that's want to make it for them in retirement, they will be in trouble. so we are working on how to best help save more and save sooner. >> there was some back and forth about whether there would be free tax contributions to 4o1 kays, but some folks may say hands off my 40

mike emanuel on the hill for more on this. busy week there. good morning. >> republican leaders behind the tax reform push are listening to some of that pushback and undoubtedly counting votes. republican ways and means chairman saying at the urging of lawmakers we're restoring an itemized property tax deduction to help taxpayers with local tax burdens. the house majority leader signaled republican leaders are listening to colleagues from high tax states new york, new jersey, california about the potential impact of losing that state and local deduction. >> they've had really good arguments. they've been very constructive in talking about trying to find the best policy going forward. and their ideas will be put into this tax bill. i think when you see it roll out you will see their input made a difference especially there. anybody that is living in those states look at the entire plan. >> president trump said he hopes to get some democrats to vote for tax reform. a lot of his pitch is for democrats from states he won last year up for reelectio
