mike emmanuel, thank you very much. appreciate it. a major development now at the top of the world's largest online retailer. what an extraordinary moment for amazon. jeff bezos, its founder, is stepping down as chief executive officer of amazon at the end of june. bezos will transition to the role of executive chair. andy jassy, the current ceo of amazon web services, will replace him. and the news keeps coming as amazon reported its first $100 billion quarter following a holiday and pandemic shopping surge. amazon's stock is trading up just about 1% in after-hours trading, $125 billion in revenue. impressive. only apple has done as well. google parent company alphabet also reporting earnings that surpassed wall street targets. alphabet with a $57 billion in revenue last quarter, a 23% increase year-over-year. the stock is nearly 7% higher in after-hours trading. and it was a good day for the rest of wall street's investors. the dow jones industrials finishing ahead 476 points, the s&p gained 52, the nasdaq up 209. volume on the big
