mike emanuel. >>> new details now on that stowaway's incredible trip from california to hawaii. the 15-year-old flying halfway across the pacific inside the jet's wheel well, a 5 1/2-hour-long flight. trace gallagher is live with the story and more on the details. what do you know? >> we know that 15-year-old spent more than seven hours in that secure area of the san jose airport. the surveillance video shows him hopping that perimeter fence at about 1:00 in the morning on sunday morning. the plane didn't take off until 8:00 in the morning. the fbi says he climbed up into the first wheel well of the first plane he saw and apparently slept in that wheel well overnight till the plane took off. now, the boy told authorities he was confused by the writing on the plane, which is odd, because it clearly says hawaiian, you can see on the front right there. there are reports the boy moved to the san francisco bay area three years ago from africa and that he recently switched schools because he got into trouble and that he was trying to get back to somalia to see his mother. maui police will not confirm that report. but look at this video. these are apparently the boy's footprints on the doors of the we kn
