let's check the drive with mike inouye. >> a warning through friends driving through cupertino. northbound 85 over the next few minutes. likely to see traffic break northbound 85. there's a tire rolling around the highway there. we want to make sure that gets off the roadway, as well as the folks trying to clear it for us. we have construction that may have a crew or two on 880 between old bay shore highway and 280 for that stretch. no major disturbance to the flow of traffic. the crews should be cleared out of the area. the rest of the speed sensors show a nice drive in the northbound commute direction out of the south bay and down the lower bay shore freeway. 101 as well as 280. a smooth drive up the peninsula and down out of san francisco as well. other side of the bay, we're looking over at the livermore drive where we had the earlier disabled vehicle over here at airway, that's cleared from the commute direction. still, it's a slow drive all the what out of the altamon pass. we'll get a look at the oakland coliseum and passing there. >>> investigators are looking into a dis

we want to check your drive at 5:46 with mike inouye. >> we'll take you to the south bay. the speed sensors are just fine. the commute hasn't quite kicked in yet. but al northbound 880 we have the construction crew that isn't scheduled to clear until 6:00. all slowing earlier has cleared from the map. just watch for the crews through the area for the next few. northbound 880, we also have crews here because of an accident, minor injuries and blocking the slow lane, that's northbound 880 just north of 237 depending on which side of the freeway you exit. we're looking to the peninsula side. we're showing a speed limit for 101 up and down the peninsula for 280 along the coast. highway 1 is not showing any delays. we'll look at the golden gate bridge. along the coast, highway 1 as well as over the bridge itself, low clouds are drifting through the area. so just a note for drivers. and also for the north bay. so just be careful. back to you. >> a sandwich shop is recovering from a gunshot wound. the shooting happened around 10:00 at a subway in sunnyvale. the clerk was take on

let's find out how your drive is shaping up with mike inouye. >> little bit better. a little bit clearer. good morning, folks. 101 past the embarcadero. the fog advisory for the san mateo bridge back in use. it's a ruling many cities around california have been waiting for. the state supreme court issuing whether they can take $2 billion in redevelopment funds from cities to pay off the state bill. bob redell joins us live in san jose with more on how this will affect san jose and other cities, bob, good morning. they would see little, if any improvement. $1.7 billion roughly this year. $400 million in following years to close california's massive budget deficit. the state has argued before the supreme court that since the legislature created the agencies i can also impose new financial requirements on them as well. they argue this bans it on 22. they do generate $2 billion a year in the local economy. that's an estimate. san jose's redevelopment agency said it will shut down instead of diverting money back. the state supreme court expected to post the ruling online

let's check your drive with mike inouye. >> good morning, folks. we take you to san francisco.in the bay bridge is okay. but here just south of there at the bay bridge southbound 101, the second accident of the morning, right around chavez just cleared from the roadway. but it seems to be a trouble spot. i'm superstitious. be careful. we're looking at the approach to the bay bridge and a smooth drive. just at the toll plaza and down the berkeley curb. we'll look at oakland. 880 past the coliseum. the volume of cars, the number of lighting look a little more than a half hour ago. speeds still in the 50s and 60s. 16 to 17 minutes for that drive in either direction. we see slowing in through livermore all the way to pleasantton and dublin. 26 minute drive out of the altamont pass and north livermore avenue for your westbound commute. in the south bay looking good overall. typical pattern slowing around 680 past the airport. then highway 87, northbound, as you come into downtown. there's an earlier accident over now on the shoulder. but there are flashing lights. 87 at 280. prepare

i want to czech in with mike inouye this morning. there was a problem on 880 near union city after a crash involving a chp officer. it has shut down all lanes of 880 northbound, mike. how are we looking now? >> much better as far as the situation for traffic flow. we have two lanes now open. one on the far right. one on the far left. the two middle lanes for what i understand are still blocked northbound 880 at dakota road or highway 84. that's the roadway to get over to the bridge. so a slow approach from the south as well as tr the north. quite a bit of activity. quite a bit of distraction. it sounds like minor injuries. the driver of that was walking around by the time they moved all or some of the cars to the shoulder. we'll get a look out there and show you how light it is in oakland. that delay shouldn't present a problem for the rest of your commute. but overall, you're still looking okay. >>> one of the longest standing occupy sites in the bay area is still standing despite orders to leave. officers told occupy berkeley protes
