a tribute to michael jackson, the same year that this photo was posted and that someone may have called him coonman as a nickname which dates back to the racial era. let me have mike. quite an interesting afternoon in tv. >> reporter: well, you're absolutely right and there were several protesters here throughout the morning and then they came back many of them listening to the governor as he held his press conference standing just outside the fence here and what the governor was clearly trying to do was bring ambiguity to an unambiguous statement yesterday when he said it was, in fact, him. there's no way to divine that, to parse that, to tear that apart or break it down in any other way. he said now he's referring to the content of the page calling it horrifying time and time again and that, quote, the reason i so vividly don't remember that is that it didn't happen. the problem that he's going to have from a political standpoint is simply this, the governor has been on the phone over the course of the morning and presumably last night talking to fellow democrats across the state, talking to democrats within the state legislature and national democrats as well.
