mike jerick has a story that will tug at your heart strings. ♪ >> tommy was born with a birth defectfects blood flow to his heart. he spent the first six weeks of his life at chop's cardiac icu. tommy was just four days old when he had his first open heart surgery. he would undergo two more before the age of two. but that was just the beginning for tommy's uphill climb. at age of three, he was diagnosed with autism. he also has feeding issues requiring him to use a feeding tube to get most of his nutrition. tommy faces many challenges as you can tell, but he's pushing through. with the help of his child live specialist he got connected with team impact the program paired him with u penn's basketball team and it looks like it's the perfect fit. >> who's your favorite penn player? well, myself, of cour course.
