joining me now is mike lavendar, a friend of jessica's. we want to say first off, we're sorry for your loss. how did you know and learn that jessica was one of those lost and killed in the shooting? >> good morning. yeah, i woke up this morning around 5:00 a.m. and turned the tv on, and i turned it up because i saw the coverage, and i was watching the tv and i was thinking of a flashback to columbine. i was just like, oh, my god, not again, not another one. i did, i sat down, i picked up my laptop and got on facebook and posted on my timeline, on my wall, was a message from jessica's mom. and it said, mike, jessica was killed last night. call me. and i grabbed the phone. i called her, and it just -- it was just surreal. i mean, i didn't have a chance to process it, but when i talked to her mom, she just said, i was on the phone with jessica just before the movie started. i'm going to visit next week, i can't wait. she said, mom, i miss you, and after a while, she did get a call from who jessica was with and she said, sandy, i'm calling to
