>> jennifer glass, thank you very much. >> let's go to our national security contributor, major mike lyons. mike, this is america's longest running conflict. it has been called the graveyard of empires. what concerns do you have about u.s. troops in afghanistan running into problems just like in iraq where our troops wound up being caught in the middle of a civil war? >> i'm worried about returning back to the future of the taliban reinforcing along the border with pakistan. we've got to fix that relationship, as well. that's a major i am petment to peace going forward. the second aspect isis is. they continue to infiltrate places inside of afghanistan and disrupt and be someone that, a party that's going to not go away anytime soon. you take both of those two forces there and i think the afghan security forces have their hands full over the next few years. >> the afghan military clearly needs the help, but will the u.s. be able to offer enough military assistance so that the afghan army one day will be able to stand up against the taliban on its own? >> well, i think at least for the next
