mike mibach has the incredible journey these dogs have been through. >> 57 faces, some sad. >> it's okay. >> reporter: some scared, some draped with a range of emotions. >> >> hi baby. >> this is about cruelty and pain. >> reporter: their story starts in korea. a breeder had been breeding them for human consumption. >> the winter is very cold in korea. no heating. >> reporter: one of the disturbing twists to these stories is how these dogs would have been killed back in south korea. the sfspca say that they may have been electrocuted or hung. >> you can hear them screaming. >> reporter: perreira says he witnessed the killing and said that he asked the breeder to hand over the remaining dogs. >> reporter: in order to support the industry, 2 million dogs are killed every year. >> it's not legal and it's not illegal. it's a very tricky spot because they are not really recognized officially as being a food product. >> reporter: humane society international says it spent $60,000 to rescue the dogs and fly them to san francisco. the spca is now cast with assessing the health of the animals. >>

i'm mike mibach. we are live with sal castaneda. police are trying to figure out who is at fault. >> reporter: they have saying the -- are saying that the car did run this stop sign. you can see cars drive by pretty fast here. the bus ended up on that hill here. i want to show you the bus ton wrong side of the embankment. a driver was traveling on a side street and he ran a stop sign and was hit by the bus which did not have a stop sign. that bus was on davidson. it occurred right in the middle of the intersection. >> the driver was ejected from his car. he was pronounced deceased at the scene here. the bus driver is uninjured. five passengers suffered minor injuries. they were transported to local hospitals. >> reporter: it is hard to look at the damage of the small car which is unrecognizable. it happened at about 5:45. it was still dark. people who live in the neighborhood tell me traffic is dangerous because traffic gets going pretty food. the speed limit is 35 miles per hour. it is not controlled bay stop sign. they say people

i'm mike mibach. that body was discovered in san jose. what can you tell us, ann? >> reporter: school was released early. students were offered counseling and told about the body. it was a second period swim class that made the discovery. the body of an adult male was at the body of the diving poolment they do not believe it is someone affiliated with the school. they took inventory of staff and students. it had been locked yesterday evening. they can't understand how someone one might have gotten in. >> all of the pools are secure. they have an extra high fence, barbed wire around it. all of the doors from the inside are locked so you are to be intentional to get into the pool. >> reporter: they say the person was not carrying any identification. again, school has been released for the day. there was question about whether a school spirit event scheduled for tonight would be taking placement we think we just heard on the public address system it may have been canceled. we'll send it back to you. >> do you know when they locked that pool up if they also locked down

ktvu's mike mibach is here now with new developments. mike, it also appears the passengers all realized what was happening before the crash. >> reporter: that's right. in the final minutes of the flight the cockpit voice recorder picked up the screams from the passengers on board. investigators say the voice recorder indicates a conversation between the pilot and the co-pilot at the start of the flight but the ceo pilot's responses became short later -- the ceo pilot's -- co- pilots response business came short later on. >> reporter: authorities set up a viewing tent, at this moment crews were scouring the crash site while investigators were looking for clues in the apartment of the co-pilot, andreas lubitz. >> nothing permits us to say this was a terrorist act. >> reporter: it is unclear if he planned the downing in advance but audio from one of two black boxes recovered revealed the 27-year-old scene in this photo at the golden gate bridge deliberately activated the decent when the captain left the cockpit to use the bath room. >> the d

i'm brian flores in for mike mibach. >> i'm allie in for claudine wong.and rosemary is here giving us a check of the sunday morning weather. >> we have another dry pleasant afternoon in store but this morning notable changes. i'll point you out towards san francisco and show you that we have plenty of gray over the bay this morning. it's along the coastline. it's in some of our valley locations. in fact over our north bay valley locations we've got thick fog, visibility down to a quarter mile. in early morning drive through there, just beware and take it easy. we'll have sunshine away from the coastline for today. i think right along that stretch of the shore we will be partly cloudy to mostly cloudy for today. temperatures right now in the 40s to low 50s. 46 in napa. 48 san francisco. 42 walnut creek. with the blanket of clouds overhead we're actually slightly warmer or up from where we were yesterday morning. especially over the north bay valley but i tell you, without that sunshine it feels cool. it feels really cool this morning. without the sun on me
