mike morrell: absolutely.nd this decision almost ensures, if this goes through and the next president does not change it, this decision is going to make the climate worse and therefore have national security applications from that very significant prospective. the other national security issue here is that there are specific national security implications of climate change. for example, water shortages and fights, conflicts between nations overwater. instability caused by the increasing size of deserts. food problems in the instability that causes. there is a whole bunch of stuff we in the intelligence community study, the national security fallout of climate change. those are going to get worse as the climate gets worse. two huge national security implications. then there are two other implications that i think about. one is i think this is going to significantly impact u.s. leadership in the world. this is as bad if not worse than barack obama's decision not to enforce the redline on syria. as you remember,
