let's welcome in mike murphy, erin gibbs, steph in i lianie l jon najarian. i want to get to microsoft. it's a tough situation when you're a ceo and you say you're stepping down and the stock soars? >> that's not exactly the sort of news you embrace, although as you said, it made him at this point $600 million richer so far today because he's got about 330 million shares of the stock. at one point it was nearly $1 billion on the bottomline here. i'm sure mr. ballmer doesn't need the extra billion. he's already a multibillionaire, but he would rather have a good legacy continuing forward with the stock. they're moving in a lot of the right directions, brian -- >> they are? >> i believe they are. >> what are those right directions, jon? >> entertainment. we've all week been looking at things like, for instance, the nfl getting together with google potentially. microsoft certainly has to be considered one of those that could be involved in entertainment going forward beyond the xbox, which is how, by the way, a lot of people do consume a lot of online entertainm

so we're trading the action with josh brown, mike murphy, stephanie link, jon najarian. josh brown, how do you trade the market today with now the syria question looming? >> i think the syria thing is really just the probable cauxim. we have seen weakness all month. this correction began on august 2nd. so far it's been a correction through time rather than through price. we haven't seen sustainable downside in any of the major indices. that being said, that gorgeous 50-day moving average which had been in an uptrend pretty much all year is now flattening out. decliners versus advancers, that's a disturbing trend that you don't want to see, and so i think what you're looking at right now is a continuation of this correction. it's perfectly healthy. there's nothing wrong with it. if people want to soupoint to sa today, the debt ceiling debate next week, whatever they need to point to to explain this. there were no other catalysts for a leg higher. right now we're in pause and utilities look decent, treasuries, gold, that whole cohort. i wouldn't make too much of it but tha

we're trading the markets with stephanie link, josh brown, mike murphy, and stephen weiss. stocks are stuck, rates are rising. the best move right now? >> it feels like maybe this is the correction. sometimes markets can correct through time, not necessarily through price. if we just mark time here until we get through the end of the summer, that would not be the end of the world given the gabes weaver already got this year and earlier this summer. i think right now the way to think about this is make your list, look for the stocks that you have been dying to buy, it might just give you an opportunity. we're doing exactly that, specifically in technology. >> murph, is that the best strategy right now? >> i think it's really the only strategy that i see right now working. you look at names. you have had this kind of swoon in the market but the markets haven't fallen off in a big way pointwise or percentagewise. so you want to look at areas like financials. we've talked financials just about this entire year. financials were down 10 out of 14 days or something crazy. but they
